Maverick calls Colorado home and resides with Garry Duncan. As a puppy, Maverick would climb out of his x-pen everytime he went in. . .he was quite a pistol. Maverick loves to chase rabbits on long trail walks near his house; although he has not caught one yet. He is very obedient - comes when called and heels well off leash. He loves to play ball and wants to go everywhere he can. He has just been fitted with a wet suit for fishing trips. It fits him very well and he has full movement in it. The suit will keep the burs out of his fur on the way down to the river, too. Maverick just loves to go fishing with Garry. When Garry is busy packing the car, Maverick goes nuts with excitement and is in the car in a flash ready to go. On the river, the boys usually fish until dark and Garry has to manually drag him out of the boat because he doesn't want to leave. Maverick also likes to watch the large fish in the tank of an assisted living facility they visit. He sits in front of the tank, looking back at Garry wondering why the fish are in the tank and not the river. Maverick is a great ambassador when visiting the nursing home and always gets lot os attention. Besides fishing, Maverick loves his ball, hates the squirrels and chases rabbits almost every day, but hasn't caught any yet. He is very loving and thinks he is a lap dog. Maverick has a "new little sister" and her name is Maggie May.
