Mr. Green aka "Joe" now known as "Baxter" has a wonderful home with Anne and Jay from Green Valley.
It was love at first sight for everyone.
Baxter Boy will winter in Green Valley and summer in the White Mountains.
Baxter will get unlimited love and attention from his new "mom and dad".
April 18, 2008 update. . . he continues to be an absolute JOY for us; he is smart, responsive, cooperative, and lots of fun. We have established our routines with him, and after his morning walk, he loves to run and run, jump over some of the lower plants in the yard, and generally race in and out and around. Of course, we laugh and clap at what a clever boy he is. . . . we think every day how lucky we are to have found each other! . . .he surely has a great disposition.

March 2009 - Baxter is going to be two years old soon.
Baxter's mom "Anne" writes on 04/20/09. . . We have had 2 indicents in the yard lately, one serious and one not so much. One early AM we noticed some illegals crouching down behind our back wall (there is a small "alley" there which is really for water drainage during the rains) running back and forth. They had a cell phone, so we gathered they were communicating to someone for a pickup. We have serveral pickup places here in GV where they gather every Am about 4:00AM; and someone picks them up to take them to ??? However, these people decided to jump over the wall, at which point I got very excited and scared; and told Baxter to watch them, and they were bad. He stood on his hind legs and made very menacing noises and barks, they saw him, and jumped over the wall again. We called the BP and reported all this going on, but they were picked up and on their way. We called back and told them they were probably headed up I-19, so maybe they got picked up. The BP is always parked in the median watching, so hopefully the communication worked. Ever since then, Baxter patrols the back wall, looks over, watches from inside the house. Since he turned 2, he has changed (my opinion). He is a grownup now, and has a certain swagger about him. Of course, we still are play pals.
The other incident occurred last Saturday. Some dumb Quail parents let their brood into our back yard. Although the babies looked very small, the only way they could have gotten in was to fly. Well, Baxter was let out, not knowing of course they were there; and he went crazy chasing the little ones. Of course, they are dumb and panickly; so even after he came in they were zooming around. Eventually they must have flown over; but it certainly gave him something to think about.
03/04/10 - Happy 3rd Birthday to all my brothers and sisters from the litter of Joelle on March 4th, 2007. . .Baxter Hinkel
P.S. I am doing just fine, and my parents are loving me alot, and I am sort of spoiled! But I work hard doing chores for them, and making sure they are well protected.
